Java EE 7 Launched – Also New Versions Of NetBeans and Oracle’s Eclipse IDE
Oracle has released Java EE 7, the latest version of the popular Java enterprise software development platform. Java EE 7 follows Java EE 6 which saw wide adoption from vendors (18 Java EE 6 compliant application servers) and Java developers (over 50 million downloads).
Java EE 7 facilitates building HTML5 applications with WebSockets; JSON processing and asynchronous RESTful Web Services with JAX-RS 2.0. Java EE 7 also reduces boiler-plate code using dependency injection and default resources and broadens the use of annotations to increase efficiency.
Java EE 7 brings in Java Message Service (JMS) 2.0, designed to improve usability through annotations and Contexts and Dependency Injection (CDI) Beans support; and significantly reduce the code required to send and receive messages.
The Java EE 7 release was accompanied by release of new versions of the NetBeans 7.3.1 and the Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse (OEPE) 12c with Java EE 7 support.

GlassFish 4.0, which is the reference implementation of Java EE 7 is also now available for download
