Congratulations Mr. Guido !

Google Group (comp.lang.python) announced the great news ! The creator of the Python programming language, Guido van Rossum had an offer from google and he accepted it.

When PythonThreads asked Mark Lutz , a well known name in the Python world, about the Google’s role in promotion of the Python programming language. He said, “People using Python are promoting Python; it spreads of its own accord. The impact of Google may also be more significant than you seem to imply.”

An important reason for Java being so popular is that it had IT giants like Sun, IBM and ORACLE promoting it.
It will be very interesting to see how Van Rossum’s new job will affect the growth of Python programming language and Google’s open source projects.
