In his keynote address at the Open Source Business Conference, Jonathan Schwartz talks about the "participation age", open source licenses and how ‘free’ has changed business models over the years and will continue to do so.

He cites examples from various industries to convey his and Sun’s views on free and open source. He spends some time discussing Sun’s new approach to Solaris and on open source Java.

We highly recommend this keynote. However those on dialup connections would have a problem as a text transcript is not available and the audio is over 20 MBs.

You can listen to this keynote at:

or check out Jonathan’s Blog, where he clarifies and elaborates on many of the points discussed in his keynote address.
