Ruby and Rails Meet

A recent Ruby on Rails interview with David Heinemeier Hansson led to heated discussions about the subject not only on IndicThreads but several other sites. Good or bad, one thing’s for certain, you cannot ignore Ruby and Rails.

If you are unsure of the impact Ruby On Rails is having on the Java world, do check out the interview and the following comments on Indic and on Javalobby.

For those in Pune, India, PuneRuby is a discussion group about Ruby and is holding it’s first ever meet in Pune. “The theme of the meet is to discuss about Ruby and Ruby on Rails (ROR). Ruby (An open source language) and ROR (Ruby’s web-framework) has been making a lot of wave in the programming world because of its dynamicity and the ease of coding. It’s a fast growing language and is finding acceptance both in Enterprises and SMB’s.”

IndicThreads will be your Java spy at the meet. If you can’t make it to the meet, you will get an update here…
