The 3rd IndicThreads.com Conference On Java Technology will be held at the Hotel Sun n Sand in Pune, India on 5-27 Nov 2008. In a novel initiative, the conference this year includes a code lab on Google technologies, known in geek terminology as a Hackathon. The Hackathon includes sessions on Google technologies like Google Web Toolkit (GWT) and OpenSocial. These sessions would be followed by a dedicated code lab session where delegates can try out the latest developments with Google technologies like Google Web Toolkit and OpenSocial under the guidance of the expert speakers and Google engineers.
OpenSocial defines a common interface for developing social applications. Popular social networking websites like LinkedIn, Orkut, Myspace, Friendster, hi5, Plaxo and many others already implement OpenSocial. Google Web Toolkit (GWT) helps build and maintain rich internet applications using the Java programming language.
Apart from the Hackathon, conference 2008 consists of a number of sessions on key Java topics delivered by the top speakers in the world. Experts from across the globe will join software developers and architects from India in discussions on the latest in software development tools and techniques.
