finally there

After spending/wasting a lot of time deliberating and trying to fix what the domain name should be and then what the content on the site should be, we finally are there. IndicThreads.com is live.

We have opened with two very enriching interviews from Sammer Tyagi and Pradeep Chopra. The response to the beta site at http://rightrix.com/indiaj2ee was wonderful and the enthusiasm with which people volunteered to help/be interviewed was just great.

It feels good to finally be up and running. I hope Google is kind to us and lists us right at the top of all India Java/ j2EE searches. It is said that the easiest way to do well at Google is to have lots of good and unique content and that is exactly what we intend to have.

All Aboard…

Hey BTW…Any guesses for where the name IndicThreads comes from ???

U r right. We too would have preferred it to be that way.

However on going through the CMS options available, we found that the CMS in the PHP space were better, easier to use and more active. We evaluated various options before finalizing on our current CMS.

Also, while getting good PHP hosting is easy, good J2EE hosting is not only expensive but also rare.

In the spirit of ‘practice what you preach’, should this site be re-written using J2EE (i.e. servlets, JSP)?
