Google Chrome Browser Beta – Fast Just Got 25% Faster

Google’s Chrome Web Browser is yet to have the kind of impact that Google manages to get so often with its products. The luke warm response to Chrome was primarily attributed to the fact that Chrome did not dramatically change anything about web browsers.

However Google isn’t giving up. It has now come up with a new Chrome beta that’s 25% faster than the stable release of Chrome. And that’s quite something considering that Chrome itself is lightning fast.

The Chrome blog says
The best thing about this new beta is speed — it’s 25% faster on our V8 benchmark and 35% faster on the Sunspider benchmark than the current stable channel version and almost twice as fast when compared to our original beta version.
Some of the new features you can try out include form autofill, full page zoom and autoscroll (both thanks to a new version of WebKit), and a cool new way to drag tabs out to get a side-by-side view (shown below).

With Chrome going from strength to strength, are we likely to see a mass migration from IE and Firefox in the near future?
