New Relic RPM is a subscription-based application performance management solution for web applications developed in Ruby on Rails or Java. It has has announced the opening of a public beta program for the latest version of its RPM product. The new version can be used to monitor, troubleshoot and tune Java web applications in addition to those developed on Ruby on Rails. RPM claims to be the industry’s first Application Performance Management (APM) product to be offered as a service.

Our service-based solution offers enterprise-class capabilities in a low TCO, on demand model.”

New Relic RPM is an application performance management solution that provides developers and IT operations teams with capabilities for monitoring, troubleshooting and tuning production web applications. In a single view, RPM provides deep, transaction-level visibility into production applications including such features as transaction tracing, error detection, scalability analysis, capacity analysis, Apdex scoring, collaboration workspaces, and more.
About the New Relic Beta Program
The New Relic Beta Program for Java web application management is now open and continues until the new version is generally available. Beta program participants will work with a fully functioning version of RPM capable of providing 24×7 monitoring and troubleshooting of Java applications. The version will be supported and will be updated frequently throughout the program. Participation is free. Interested organizations may register for the program by visiting java.newrelic.com.
