BEA needs to make more open source noise. BEA does't have the passionate developer following it had maybe 3 years back.

WebLogic products have always been user friendly and fast. I hope to try out WebLogic 9 soon.

I am currently using BEA WL 8.1 SP4, Unlike Sun Java System Application Server PE 8.1, BEA is the only application server that gave us so much headache when deploying our apps because we have abandoned JSP for years and used Velocity for rendering views and of all application servers that we used and deployed on, BEA is the only one that doesn't get to do things right the first time.

And honestly, the WorkShop sucks bigtime. If you are going to put that on top of Eclipse, make sure it behaves like Eclipse and not just the same that so happen to run on Eclipse. And I notice that Workshop encourages developers to write extremely quick and bad codes.

And some last shots, BEA should eliminate the applet from the web console. And make it fast and light enough to fit in an ordinary notebook so we can do our work anywhere.
