State of Jakarta Commons
I just read that JEXL 1.0 has been relased and so as usual had a quick look at the state of Jakarta Commons.

India J2EE progress
India J2EE has been doing well and the reader response has been encouraging. It should soon be up on Google and that will certanly boost hits.
Struts 1.2.2

Apache Struts is unbelievably popular in India and a large number of J2EE developers use the framework. For quite some time, version 1.1 was the Struts release being used and while other frameworks like WebWork and Spring are moving rapidly, Struts seemed to have stagnated a bit.

Finally the new version, version 1.2.2 has been released. A number of things seem to have changed. So do have a look at what the *NEW Struts offers as in all probability, your next web app will be using Struts.

J2SE 5.0 Release Candidate

J2SE 5.0 which was earlier named J2SE 1.5 and codenamed Tiger, now has a release candidate available. Now is a good time to start learning the new features of the version and to be prepared for the final release.
