The conference will be held on 30-31 August 2013 and look at a wide array of software development tools & technologies in Java, Cloud Computing, Mobile App Development as well as emerging technologies.

Oracle Launches Public Cloud Platform, Application & Social Services

Oracle had announced its plans to launch the Oracle public cloud at Openworld 2011. Larry Ellison today announced the actual launch of those cloud services. “Almost seven years of relentless engineering and innovation plus key strategic acquisitions. An investment of billions. We are now announcing the most comprehensive Cloud on the planet Earth,” said Oracle CEO, Larry Ellison. Oracle’s public cloud offerings will provide customers with subscription-based access to Oracle Platform Services, Application Services, and Social Services, all completely managed, hosted and supported by Oracle. PaaSing a Java EE 6 Application was presented at 6th Annual IndicThreads.com Conference On Java, December 2011, Pune, India.

This session details how JavaEE containers such as GlassFish can provide such service orchestration and elasticity capabilities. This session will take an existing JavaEE 6 application and walk through the complete life cycle of taking this application from desktop to a PaaS environment.
