java2python claims to be a simple but effective tool to translate Java source code into Python source code. Troy Melhase, the creator of the java2python project has announced the first release.
java2python is licensed under the GNU General Public License 2.0. To translate code, java2python requires python 2.5, ANTLR and PyANTLR.

For several years, SourceForge has been the standard for open source projects. There wasn’t any competition as fulfilling the needs of a demanding open source community is anything but simple. SourceForge has done exceptionally well for so long, but now there’s an alternative.
According to the survey done by O’Reilly, Javascript and PHP continues to lead in the book sales, while Python and actionscript are in the last position. There is a considerable rise in the book sales for Ruby as they have now passed sales for Perl books as well (they passed book sales for Python in the last year). Book sales statistics shows the dominance of Javascript and PHP, does that indicate the popularity?
