Fortify Software today announced the general availability of Fortify Security Tester for Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team System. Security Tester will enable software testers the solution they need to execute fully integrated, comprehensive security testing for web applications.

On the occasion of launch of Microsoft’s first application lifecycle management (ALM) suite, Visual Studio 2005 Team System (VSTS), it said that it wants to “raise the importance” of software testers and of testing in general across the industry.

STARWEST 2005, the Software Testing Analysis & Review Conference, will take place November 14-18, 2005 at Anaheim, CA. Software Quality Engineering (SQE) hosts the Starwest with intend to provide guidance, training and a gathering place for software testers, managers and developers and discuss how to improve software-testing techniques, quality practices.
