JBoss, Inc., the Professional Open Source company, today announced the opening of a new office in Bangalore, India. The expansion comes as the company scales to meet growing enterprise customer demand for the JBoss? Enterprise Middleware System (JEMS?) in the Asia market. With this key office, JBoss can more effectively deliver services, including 24×7 production support and training, to customers.
?In the last two years, JBoss has proved time and again its ability to
focus on Professional Open Source, execute on our strategy and grow our
customer base,? said Marc Fleury, chairman and CEO, JBoss, Inc. ?This
most recent expansion of the company underscores the immense market
opportunity in Asia and the emerging business we are already winning in
Asia. JBoss is committed to making open source a safe choice for
critical business applications.?
The Bangalore office will be
critical to JBoss? 24×7 production support business and will provide
the company with a launch pad into the booming software development
market in the region. JBoss has appointed Subramaniam Satyamoorthy as
director of operations and service. Previously, Mr. Satyamoorthy was at
Nielsen Media Research, the U.S. television measurement company, where
he built e-business applications on the JBoss Application Server. Mr.
Satyamoorthy will be growing this office with a team of support
engineers and sales staff.
?India is a hotbed for technology
and software development, and there?s no better location for JBoss to
establish a foothold for launching the JBoss Enterprise Middleware
System into the Asia market,? said Mr. Satyamoorthy. ?I find more and
more success stories where customers are using JBoss to develop
enterprise-quality products and internal applications. With a base in
Asia, JBoss can better serve current customers and reach more new
prospects with the Professional Open Source methodology.?
JBoss India office will also focus on recruiting local partners like
Softpro Systems, a premier JBoss Authorized Service Partner (JASP)
based in Hyderabad, to join its network of over 60 authorized service
delivery, software, and technology partners worldwide. Together JBoss
and its partner network will promote Professional Open Source as a safe
choice for enterprises and the public sector across the Asia-Pacific
region. For more information about JBoss partner programs, visit
